My company is going through the steps to implement an IVR system, and is having some trouble deciding to go hosted or internal.|||HOSTED always means that another company will provide the services (hardware/software). So for IVR they will setup everything for you and most likely give you support. From a cost perspective, one big check monthly to a company and you got IVR.
If you are going to be hosting the IVR yourself you need to account for Hardware, Software and have your own admins to setup and maintain the solution.
If you are small company might be wiser to have a HOSTED IVR.
