Why are President Obama's approval numbers on the rise?

After trending downward over the past couple months, Obama's numbers are now trending upwards.





As of September 15th, 52.8% of Americans now approve of Obama's performance while 44.1% disapprove. This data represents the mean of every major national poll.





Do you think this is a trend that will continue? What could explain this turnaround? Is this people embracing Obama, rejecting the GOP or both?





Wouldn't you expect Obama's numbers to be lower after the American people had the opportunity to hear the ideas presented by the 9/12 Tea Party protesters?

What media outlet really covered that protest? Which media outlets refuse to participate in News?





I think it the same people getting polled time and time again and to shut down the phone calls they just finally give in.|||Polls always surge after a major speech. I check Rasmussen Reports every morning. Obama is back below 50% approval. He got a couple day bump after his speech but that didn't last long.|||Wait until he goes on Letterman, and the 5 Sunday news shows this weekend. I think it's hilarious how Obama supporters watch the daily polls and when they see a slight increase start jumping up and down "Look it's up, it's up!" Big freaking woop.

They all gave Obama about a 3-day "bump" after his Health Insurance speech - and NOW they are back to pre-speech numbers.

Tea bagging -- why attack them ??





I was on the Mall and the Liberal News %26amp; TV, showed about a 1% (see, I can do my own poll!!) -- FREAKS --





But, showed little of the TRULY CONCERNED people.





Who care how many of these people they're are or if they have the Answers ??





They've made-it VERY CLEAR what They DO NOT WANT.





There were Dems, Repubs, Indies there on the Mall.





The Message is not an Answer.

Why isn't it okay for people to be "heard."

Remember -- We do not have the organizational abilities taught in "Liberal/Anarchical Boot Camp."





These people are unemployed, scared, and angry.





So, why not cash-in their Savings and take a trip across the Country, for something that THEY feel is important ??





They had ZERO Expectations, as far as how many would be in DC --





They did not even care -- They were only doing what THEY wanted to do.

24% that are indifferent....wallah as if by magic Obama is the hero once again (not)|||it doesn't matter at this point they are going to go down like a lot of things go up %26amp; down. Most of us weigh ourselves %26amp; lose some pounds or gain some llbs. but remain around the same wieght in a 4 year time span.....he is President...if it were election day the polls would matter but they don't mean shi+ right now. He wants to pass health care by the end of the year so that matters. We have been told the recession is over so that might make a difference but I remain steadfast %26amp; not excited or bothered one way or the other.|||It's interesting if you look at the individual group polls in your link (democrats, republicans, and independents). Both the Independent and Republican polls show a definite Decrease in approval for Obama over the last few months, while the democrats has basically flat lined, maybe a slight upturn.





The only way you can surmise an increase in approval is if the polls disproportionately poll more Democrats, since that is the only group with a modicum of an increase.





I find it hard to believe that the American people had any adequate coverage of the 9/12 project to have their views heard as only FOX and CSPAN covered it in my area. There weren't even any reports on it after the fact to dispute what was being said there...just media blackout! But we all knew about what Kanye West said about 30 seconds after it happened. Doesn't that raise anyone else's eyebrows?|||Political numbers always go up when any President gives a pep talk about how great things are going to be. This has happened before with Obama, the numbers always go down as soon as it becomes clear he was lying AGAIN. Give it a minute.
