My dog is 10 and seems to walk as drunk. Does not have IVR because no eye twitching. Ideas? What else is it?

It started a month ago with difficulty doing stairs and feet slipping out on hardwood floors. In the last 2 weeks, it has steadily progressed. She can barely stand and walk, and if she does, she falls over. The vet is at a loss. She says it is not IVR because her eyes do not twitch. She has done blood work that revealed nothing. X-rays of spine showed nothing. She put her on antibiotics in case it was a tick born illness for 2 weeks. She did not respond. Any ideas of what else this could be?|||its probably something in her brain, seziers?|||I think something happened to her brain. Did she maybe have a fever? Could have been encephalitis.





See if she responds to prednisone.|||Could be wobblers (vestibular syndrome) or a brain tumor. Sounds like you need to see another vet.
